Here’s an odd one that never ended up in any of my portfolios, maybe because it never truly got finished: a fun, cartoony illustration of Santa Barbara County that I created in early 2015 while at Oniracom. Its original intention was for that company’s B2B self-promo to local organizations, and later in a UCSB alumni publication.
Since it was cropped close for those pieces, I figured I could re-use it for AIGA Santa Barbara self-promo in 2015, so after an initial attempt didn’t get off the ground, I tried it out for AIGA SB’s contribution to the custom Cards Against Humanity set used at the 2016 AIGA Leadership Retreat icebreaker, et voila. And yet it still feels unfinished! Maybe I’ll find another use for it in the future.
