Project

Map illustrations of Florida depicting National Park units and the Greater Everglades Ecosystem, for general multi-purpose use in print and digital formats, by the National Parks Conservation Association’s Sun Coast branch in Florida.

My task was to create two letter-sized, full-color map pieces: one showing Florida’s eleven National Park units statewide (with only general locations noted), and a second showing South Florida’s Greater Everglades Ecosystem, including not only the region’s four National Park units, but also National Marine Sanctuaries, National Wildlife Refuges, and other federally-protected agricultural and water conservation areas.

Both maps were styled with type, color palette, and iconography to suit the NPCA’s brand identity as presented on previous Sun Coast office collateral. Finally, both maps also included accompanying photography of each individual park’s landscape and well-known wildlife, highlighting NPCA’s mission of safeguarding and restoring these diverse locations in the Greater Everglades and throughout Florida.

Components

Print: Full-color, branded, vector- and pixel-based print-ready versions

Digital: Full-color, branded, carefully-compressed digital PDF versions

Testimonial

“I am just thrilled! The layouts and color schemes of photos and text are just wonderful on both maps. Keir truly understood my vision and the NPCA’s need for these resources, and he produced them in a timely manner. He also understood the unique realities of nonprofit organizations and was flexible with budget and timeline, so I am happy to refer my NPCA colleagues in other regions. I absolutely love how these maps turned out!”
