Startup event branding and identity design for Startup Santa Barbara‘s cutthroat entrepreneurial pitch competition event in partnership with Tech.Co and 1776. We created both print and digital collateral, branding the intense competition between 15 local startups with tight typography and metaphorical mashup imagery, applying it to the event logo, posters, slides, and social media assets.

“A separate and distinct brand identity for our inaugural ‘Startup Mashup 2017″ was needed to unite multiple brands under one event. The brand also needed to be versatile enough to last beyond this one instance. Tight Ship delivered, creating a wordmark logo and full collateral suite based on the event name alone. The visuals were compelling and didn’t interfere with the spotlight on our partners and sponsors. The event itself was a hit—attracting hundreds of attendees to our venue at the Sandbox. ”
