Perhaps unsurprisingly, I have learned to pose with a new instrument faster than I have learned to competently play that instrument. That’s right: guess who’s gonna be learning a new instrument for the first time in 25 years? Christmas came early at Chéz DuBois! Just acquired from Folkfriends in Hamburg, Germany: a customized mandocello, the baritone instrument in the mandolin family. Thanks to my family for helping me score this new instrument/middle-aged hobby/D&D prop. Achtung, baby! 🇩🇪
